0
  • 7 days
  • may - october
  • Marina Paros
  • Roaming SEE
  • Max. people: 10
  • Minimum age: 6+

Known only to a few people, the Small Cyclades are a group of islands hidden between Naxos and Amorgos. The three sister islands of Iraklia, Schinousa and Koufonisia are surrounded by sandy beaches, emerald waters and rocky shores. Roads are almost non-existent, and so are tourists, considering that these three small islands are not known by the vast majority. So be ready to put modern life and civilization on hold and enjoy the simple island life to the fullest.

We depart from Paros and stop in Milos, Amorgos, Small Cyclades and Ios, to discover the exotic beaches, traditions, enchanting views and relaxed atmosphere that dominate these islands. Just as much to offer, but less crowded, the southern part of the Cyclades is an explosion of diversity, culinary delights and wild areas.

Itinerary

Day 1 -Antiparos

The small island of Antiparos lies in the center of the Cyclades archipelago. It is a very peaceful island with many sandy beaches. Many Hollywood stars have vacation homes here. With a little luck, you can meet some famous actors! Antiparos Island is the perfect starting point to explore the Lesser Cyclades!

Day 2 -Milos

Nicknamed the colorful island, this volcanic island impresses with its magnificent landscapes, with a cliff with more than 40 exotic beaches such as Sarakiniko and Kleftiko. Home of the Venus statue, which was discovered in 1820, Milos is an impressive mix of colors: blue and turquoise waters, which contrast with white, pink or red sand beaches. A variety of landscapes including spectacular caves, thermal springs, traditional fishing villages, all making Milos a true sailing paradise.

Day 3 -Ios

Renowned as a clubbing and partying destination, Ios also has a relaxing side that many don’t know about. Surrounded by sandy beaches and dotted with churches and white houses, with paved alleys, Ios is an island of diversity, with a gastronomy worth trying.

Day 4 -Amorgos

Made famous thanks to the movie “The Big Blue”, directed by Luc Besson in 1988, Amorgos is a quiet island with specific architecture, hidden caves and high ridges, perfect for hiking. Gorgeous beaches surround this piece of land untouched by mass tourism and make it perfect for those seeking peace and seclusion. Chora, the main port, is a maze of narrow streets lined with white houses with colorful roofs.

Day 5 -Koufonissi

It is the most famous and lively islet in the Lesser Cyclades region, but there are plenty of bays for swimming in a more secluded way. The glistening rocks surrounding the sea give the waters a wonderful green color and an amazing experience for all visitors. The village near the small port of the island is a nice, wonderful place with typical Cycladic architecture.
Another beautiful place to visit is Pori Bay, located on the northeast coast of Koufonissi Island. It is a closed bay, well protected from the north/northwest winds and the beach is made of “golden” sand, certainly one of the most beautiful beaches of the Cyclades!

Day 6 -Schinoussa

The second most populated island in the Lesser Cyclades is Schinoussa. Home to ancient sites such as a Byzantine church and even a medieval castle, Schinoussa has a rich history ripe for exploration. Here, you can enjoy your choice of secluded beaches such as Psili Ammos or Lioliou Beach and then head to some of the delicious cafes and restaurants in the three villages of Schinoussa, Chora, Mersini and Maseria.

Day 7 -Paros

If Meltemi is not strong, a nice alternative is the port of Naoussa, in the north of the island of Paros. In this case, you can also swim in Kolibithres bay, an amazing place near Naoussa. However, because the wider bay is open to northerly winds, getting there when the meltemi hits could be more difficult than usual.
When you arrive on the island of Paros, you can enjoy the nightlife in the lively ports of Naoussa or Paroikia.

A typical day on the boat

First of all, you should know that most of your time will be spent on the yacht, on the beaches and in spectacular bays.

In the morning, whether we wake up to admire the sunrise, take a swim in the sea, enjoy a good coffee or whatever your morning routine is, on the boat you can do anything, even sleep until lunch.

Navigation. Relax on deck or take the helm and our skippers will be with you and teach you some navigation techniques. We will sail daily for several hours to reach the next destination.

Activities, especially on hot summer days, a splash is welcome, so we’ll take breaks from sailing to cool off in the sea. Various activities can be done such as snorkeling, scuba diving or boat rides or stand up paddle.

We dock to discover a new location every day. It is the perfect opportunity to try the local gastronomy and discover the islands and their stories.

In the evening, after we reach the port, or moor in a spectacular bay, you can end the day admiring the sunset with a cold glass of your favorite drink or you can go to a tavern in the old villages, lost in time.

The next day we start over for a week, sunset after sunset, sunrise after sunrise!

Where do I stay?

Accommodation is in cabins on the yacht. The cabins are equipped with either double beds or single beds (bunk beds) and all have storage space.

In the case of catamarans, the cabins are equipped with their own bathrooms.

One of the greatest pleasures of a sailing enthusiast is sleeping on a boat. There is nothing more soothing than the sound of the sea at night!

On every type of yacht there is a central salon with a fully equipped kitchen where you can be your own chef.

Where will I eat?

Breakfast that can be served on the yacht, or at one of the many taverns on the islands.

You can prepare lunch on the yacht, at anchor, in a secluded cove, or go to a terrace, after which you will continue sailing or you can stay longer in a place to visit.

Dinner, after arriving at the port, or at the anchorage, you can go to a tavern in the old villages, lost in time, which offers the delights of the local cuisine, in an atmosphere full of history.

Is sailing far out at sea?

Is sailing far out at sea?? Answer: NO

We will enjoy the beauties of nature sailing along the coast stopping at beaches, in spectacular bays or crossing to a new island.

The route will be made so that the daily sailing duration is short, 1-3 hours.

Where do we moor at night?

We moor every time in a new place, whether it will be in a port or in a spectacular bay, the sea will be calm and during the night the movement generated by the waves of the sea will not cause us discomfort.

Will I get seasick?

There are also people who can sometimes accuse this kind of slightly unpleasant sensation that is caused by our inner ear, the main center of balance. Fortunately, there are plenty of solutions for this, so you don’t have to worry (there are dedicated pre-departure medications and little seaman’s tricks that work every time). Our skippers will be attentive to anticipate and resolve any unpleasant situation.
